Collection: Cold saponified soap

Cold saponification is a traditional process used to make soap in an artisanal way. This process consists of mixing vegetable oils (such as olive or coconut oil) with an alkali, usually sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), without heating the preparation.

Here are the main features:

  1. Low temperatures : The chemical reaction takes place at room temperature, which helps preserve the properties of the ingredients, particularly essential oils and natural extracts.

  2. Curing time : After being poured into molds, the soap must dry for 4 to 6 weeks to allow complete saponification and ensure a pleasant texture and long life.

  3. Advantages : Thanks to the preservation of the properties of the oils and the absence of excessive heat, the soap obtained is more moisturizing and gentle on the skin. This process also allows the addition of natural ingredients such as essential oils, plants or flowers to personalize the product.
